What to say to a Warrior

#TWNTS (Think What not to say)

What to say to a Warrior

Flowers

We have great news, you do not have to do all the talking, in fact we highly encourage you to ask your warrior how they like to be supported and if they want to talk about it at all.

Suprisingly, many don't ask warriors these two powerful questions. It is understandable that some feel like they should provide their wisdom that they believe the infertility warrior needs, but chances are someone else has already forced unhelpful advice on them.

Simply put, warriors need a listening ear. Or perhaps they just want the opportunity to accept or deny conversation on the topic.

Keep it Simple

Often less is more.

You asked how they are, you provided your listening ear and often the words “I’m here for you” or “I’m sorry” are extremely powerful and can be enough.

Check in with your warrior.

Do they want to meet up?

Do they know you are still there for them and keeping hope for them?

Conversation on the topic of infertility does not need to be complex.

Acknowledgment of circumstances and the gravity of the situation is going to make a difference.

Alice Rose's #TWNTS Campaign is worth the mention again!
